Click here for district enrollment forms and information.

During enrollment, you will need to bring your pre-enrollment package with you already completed. You will pay fees, update student information, pay lunch and textbook fees. If for any reason you are unable to make it to enrollment during these times, please call the office, 973-1700, to make other arrangements. Students new to Wichita Public Schools and all kindergarten students must provide a birth certificate or hospital record of birth and a Kansas Certificate of Immunization. All students must also provide a proof of residence. This may be a utility bill that has been mailed to you at your current address or rent receipt with current address. You must actually reside at this residence.

Free and Reduced Application:

Free and reduced applications are enclosed with enrollment package of information. If you feel your family qualifies for free or reduced lunches, the application form should be completed and returned at enrollment and this not only qualifies for free or reduced lunches, but textbook fees as well.

Fees: A link to district fees is on the district enrollment link above.

Meals:

Breakfast  - (full pay) 10 meals = $10.00 (reduced) 10 meals = $3.00

Lunch (full pay) 10 meals = $17.50             (reduced) 10 meals = $4.00 – lunch

Milk – 10 cartons for $3.00

Adult:  Lunch = $2.75

Breakfast program:

A breakfast consisting of fruit, protein, bread and milk will be served each morning.  Breakfast will be served at 8:30 a.m. beginning the first day of school. Our free pilot program ended last year so you must complete a food service form to qualify for free or reduced.

Lunch program:

Hot lunches must be purchased in advance.  We strongly suggest ten or more meals with each payment. Lunch fees are to be paid in the office. A carton of milk is served with the purchased lunch.  Extra milk may be purchased separately for a 30 cents a carton.  Regardless of financial status, extra milk is 30 cents. All lunches must be pre-paid – NO CHARGES allowed.

School Day Schedule:

The first day of school is Thursday, August 14.  Students' room assignments will be posted in the hallways/gym and on classroom doors.  All staff will be available to assist on the first day of school so that the room assignments can be more efficiently handled.  Kindergarten students attendance will be staggered the first days.  Parents of kindergarten students will receive more information at the time of enrollment.

From the onset of the school year, students are not to arrive any earlier than 8:30 a.m. and only if you are eating breakfast. Breakfast will not be served after 8:50 a.m. Supervision is extremely limited before these times and is the responsibility of the parent unless the child is enrolled in the Latchkey program. Latchkey applications can be picked up in the office for before/after school childcare. We know you want the best education possible for your child and our staff works very hard to provide well-planned curriculum, incentives and a safe environment for them. To provide a consistent educational flow we also need your assistance in a very important issue. We would like to request that you make all doctors, dental or other appointments for your child during in-service days, winter and spring breaks as much as possible. Please do not pick your child up early because of convenience to your schedule. This is very disruptive to the whole classroom and your child may miss important lessons. Also, please inform your children before school who will pick them up or if they are to ride the bus or not. We cannot constantly interrupt the classes to give your child these messages unless of course it is an emergency.
